Chicken Gravy - with a preparation of grandmother style.
INGREDIENTS:
- Cinnamon – 4 pieces
- Cardamom – 3 Nos.
- Clove – 7 Nos.
- Anise – as needed
- Onion – 1 cup
- Cumin seeds – as needed
- Pepper – as needed
- Red chili – 8 Nos.
- Garlic – 10 Nos.
- Ginger – 8 Nos.
- Turmeric powder – 1 tea spoon
- Coriander powder – 1 tea spoon
- Onion (chopped) – half cup
- Tomato (chopped) – half cup
- Chicken – 1 kg
PREPARATION:
Masala preparation:
- Add Oil (1 table spoon), cinnamon, Cardamom, Clove, Anise and roast it well
- Add Onion, Cumin seeds, Pepper, Red chili and roast it well
- Add Garlic, Ginger and roast till gets golden brown color
- Add Turmeric powder, Coriander powder and mix well
- Switch off the stove, transfer it to a plate and then cool it
- Grind it to a fine paste
Preparation of gravy:
- Switch on the stove and add oil (2 table spoon), Curry leaves,
- Onion and roast it well
- Add tomato and smash it well
- Add Chicken (1 kg) and mix it well
- Add a glass of water and cook it in the High flame
- Add the grinded paste (masala paste) to the vessel
- Add crystal salt (as needed) and boil it nicely
- Add Oil (1 table spoon) and switch off the stove and it ready for serving
